Lauren Kattner Obituary

Lauren Elizabeth Kattner, 33 years of age passed away peacefully on May 26th in her home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous 2-year battle with cancer. She is survived by her parents Vincent and Louise Kattner, her brother Michael Kattner, her sister-in-law Amanda Kattner, a niece Savannah and nephew Levi, and her fiancée Rony Villeda.

Lauren attended St. Peter and Paul Elementary School and graduated from Marian Catholic H.S. in 2006. She went on to pursue a career in Pharmacy and attended the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia where she received her Doctorate of Pharmacy in 2012. She completed her post-graduate Residency for Pediatric Clinical Pharmacy at the University of Pittsburgh’s Children’s Hospital in 2013. She was employed as a Clinical Pharmacist at St. Christopher’s Hospital, Philadelphia from 2013-2016.

She attained a position in St. Luke’s Health Network and was employed as a clinical and staff Pharmacist from 2016 to present. Lauren devoted herself to her family and her profession. She had exemplary work ethic, integrity, and wisdom beyond her years. She was an inspiration to all close to her, encouraging others to strive to reach their full potential in life. Lauren was humble and selfless, always placing the needs of others first. She loved music and was blessed with a beautiful voice, singing in church, plays, concerts and commencements. Active and energetic with a great sense of humor and quick wit, she brought a smile to all close to her. She loved baking, crafts and reading as well as swimming, hiking, kayaking and snowboarding. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and vacationing at the shore. She adored her pet Shih-tzu Ozzie who was her faithful companion. Lauren lived her 2 years after diagnosis with a strong and positive outlook that was reflected from her favorite quote:

“She is clothed in strength and dignity and laughs without fear of the future.”

-Proverbs 31:25

Lauren was an incredibly amazing young woman who will be sadly missed by her family, friends and colleagues.
