Larry R. Smith Sr.

Larry R. Smith Sr., 83, of Lehighton, entered into eternal rest Friday, April 15, 2022 in St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown Campus. He was the husband of the late Roberta L. (Hinger) Smith who passed away on October 08, 2017. Born in Indianland, he was a son of the late Clarence E. and Annie A. (Gangaware) Smith. He was employed as a truck driver for various trucking companies and then worked as a sales rep for Rollix until retiring. He was a United States Navy Veteran. He was a member of the Teamsters Union. Larry enjoyed scratch off tickets, casino trips, watching boats out on Beltzville Lake, and driving around the county looking for deer.

Surviving are daughters Veronica Bickert and her fiancé Terry Weaver of Danielsville, Sandra Dengler wife of Kenneth of Kempton, and Brenda S. Hubbard wife of Harry of Virginia Beach, VA; a son Larry R. Smith Jr. and his companion Shelia Phipps of Haines City, FL; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a grandson Brent Heintzelman, 2 sisters, and 6 brothers.

A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, April 21, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. in the Andrew P. Ovsak Funeral Home, 190 S. 4th St., Lehighton, PA with S.A.L.M. Emma Weaver officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown. Call Thursday 12-1:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
