LaRue D. (Scherer) Wogenrich

LaRue (Dottie) Dorothy Woginrich, age 96, died on August 31, 2022 in the Brookmont Nursing Home. She formally resided at the Bush Home. She was the wife of the late John Joseph Woginrich Sr. who passed away in 2009. They were married for 63 years. Born in Bowmanstown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Scherer and Miriam (Grow) Scherer.

A lifelong resident of Lehighton, she worked in the local garments industries for many years until retirement. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Lehighton, PA. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and the many camping trip she took with John.

Survivors: Sons, John and daughter-in-law Patricia Yanzsa Woginrich of Palmerton, and Terry and daughter-in-law Ann Kresge Woginrich of Palmerton. Grandchildren: John Joseph Woginrich III of Vienna, VA, Katherine Baumgardt of Palmerton, PA, Jenna Woginrich of Cambridge, NY, Tanya Hess of Palmerton, PA and Justina Reph of Bowmanstown, PA. Also, six great-grandchildren. Brother James Scherer and his wife Dorothy and Sister Marie Haberman and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Arnold, Robert and George and a sister, Katherine and two infant siblings, Dale and Blanche. A Celebration Of Life Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, Sept. 8th Andrew P Ovsak Funeral Home, 190 S. 4th St., Lehighton, PA. Call 10-11 a.m.. Interment in the Lehighton cemetery.

Interment for both John Sr. and LaRue will be in the Lehighton Cemetery, 4th St.
