Kirk D. Hawk

September 14, 1961 - July 12, 2023

Mr. Kirk (Doc) Hawk, 61 of Lehighton, passed away suddenly in his home.

He was a Chef, previously for Split Rock Lodge, Magnolia Vineyard, Beaver Run Rod & Gun Club, finally Retiring from the Lehighton American Legion in 2015. He was member of Beaver Run Rod and Gun Club, Lehighton Orioles Nest #183, Lehighton American Legion. Lifetime member of Lehigh River Stocking Association and North American Fishing Club, NRA and a Member of Trinty Lutheran Evangelical Church in Lehighton. He Graduated from Lehighton Area High School in 1980.

 

Kirk enjoyed Fishing, Hunting, Archery, Woodworking, Camping, Traveling  and attending concerts. He loved all Genres of Music. Especially Classical, which he would often have played while, tinkering around in his garage. He collected Antiques and attended many auctions and Estate Sales.

 

Born in Lehighton, He was the son of the late Gerald C. Hawk and Sharlee (Mertz) Hawk. Surviving are Brother Mark Hawk wife Pauline of White Bear. Their Daughters, Tiffany Fischer, her son Tyler, Nicole Wolford wife of Brian, their sons Benjamin and William. Stephanie Andersen wife of Andreas and their son Magnus all residing in California. Sister, Tracy Hawk, wife of Howard Kuntz their daughter Lindsey, of Lehighton. Sherry Brothers wife of Charles of Toledo, Oh. Their sons Jonathan and Aaron and their Grandson Gabriel Brothers of Ohio. Sister Gerri Hawk and her companion Scott Stahler of Tamaqua. Can't forget Susy, his beloved Beagle. Thank you to Lisa and Brian Rubin for taking her into your home and hearts. 

 

Kirk was a great son, brother and friend to whoever was lucky enough to have him in their lives. He had a heart of gold, was a caregiver to many and tried to make you smile with his quirky sense of humor. We were indeed lucky to have a brother like him. We lost him too soon.  He will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace Dear Brother till we meet again.
