Janice M. Harleman, 92, of Lehighton, entered into eternal rest on Jan. 28, 2024. She was the widow of William C. "Bill" Harleman, who passed away on Oct. 21, 2008.
She and her husband were the owners/operators of the Boulevard Drive-In and Restaurant, Lehighton, for 43 years.
Born in Lansford, she was a daughter of the late Hillmer and Myrtle (Koch) Olson.
She was a member of the former Grace Lutheran Church, Lehighton.
She was a 1949 graduate of Lansford High School, where she was part of the cheerleading squad.
She was a member of the Lehighton American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving are a daughter, Debra Ahner of Lehighton; a son, William C. II, and his wife, Kate, of Tamaqua; a sister Linda, wife of Robert Moyer of Lehighton; three grandchildren, Chad, Cathy and Shannon; eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephew.
She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Alexa Harleman; two brothers, Hillmer and John Olson; and a sister, Carol Beltz.
Funeral service 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 2, Andrew P. Ovsak Funeral Home, 190 S. Fourth St., Lehighton, with SALM Emma Weaver officiating. Interment, Gnaden Huetten Cemetery, Lehighton. Viewing 10-11 a.m. Friday.
