Harvey Keiper Jr. Obituary

Harvey C. Keiper Jr. 83, of West Bowmans, entered into eternal rest Saturday March 30th, 2024, in St. Lukes Hospital Bethlehem.

              Born in Pocono Lake, he was the son of the late Harvey C. Keiper SR. and Arvilla (Smith) Keiper. He graduated from Tobyhanna Township High School Pocono Pines, Class of 1961. In 1962 he joined the United States Navy and proudly served until 1964.  After an honorable discharge, he worked in the Transportation Industry building bridges for No. 1 Contractors, Pittston Pa retiring in 2008.

              Harvey was an avid hunter, enjoyed car shows and showing off his car collection, and mostly winning at block shoots.  He was the best of the best in his time.

              He belonged to the Masonic Lodge #621 and received his 50-year membership in 2017.  Harvey was a member of the American Legion, Bowmanstown Rod and Gun Club, Pace-makers Association, East Penn Sporting Club as well as many others. 

              He will be greatly missed by his daughter Pamela and her husband John Leiby of Bowmanstown, son Harvey T. Keiper and his wife Lori of Ashfield, grandchildren, Ashley, and Holly, and Kyle. His companion Harriet Visnosky, Palmerton, his twin sister Harriet Franks, of Pocono Lake.
