David W Pollock 67, of Lehighton passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday December 5th, 2023. He was the husband of Dorothy (Coombe) Pollock for 44 years and they raised 4 children together. Jennifer L Pollock of Lansford, Melissa A Haydt wife of Brian L Haydt, Amanda B. Ebbert wife of Neal A. Ebbert II and Bryan D. Pollock husband of Kimberly C. Pollock, all of Lehighton. Born March 31, 1956 in Lehighton. He was the son of the late Harry N. Pollock and Gail M (Steigerwalt) Pollock. He was a 1974 graduate of Lehighton High School. He attended Northampton Community College for Fire Technology. David was a lifetime member of Mahoning Valley Fire Company #1. He served as chief from 1983-1987 and again from 1996-2008. He currently served as Mahoning Township Supervisor. He retired from Penn Dot in 2017. David enjoyed watching Georgia Football, listening to Elvis music, playing Pachisi, grilling, camping, trains, taking care of his honey bees and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, four children, grandchildren Luke and Megan Haydt, Logan Pollock; a brother Nathan Pollock and sister Ellen Hontz husband of Donald Hontz. Services will be held on Friday December 15th at Ovsak Funeral Home located at 4th and Iron Street Lehighton from 9am-12pm.
