1939 - 2023

Evelyn C. Kowatch, 84, of Mahoning Twp, entered into eternal rest Monday, September 25, 2023 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest Campus. She was the wife of the late Robert S. Kowatch who passed away November 11, 2021. Born in Nesquehoning, she was a daughter of the late John and Evelyn (Bowman) Kenlin. She was employed as a Postmaster for the Andreas United States Postal Office until her retirement. She was a graduate of Nesquehoning High School and was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Mahoning. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed quilting. Evelyn loved her penguins.

Surviving are a daughter Melissa Ault and her husband William of Whitehall, PA; a son Robert of Mahoning Twp; and a sister Dorothy Ryan of East Meadow, NY.

She was also preceded in death by sisters Mary Lou Mann and Julianne Wiles and brothers John, Fred, and William.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 07, 2023 at 11:30 A.M. in the Andrew P. Ovsak Funeral Home, 190 S. 4th St. Lehighton, PA 18235. Family will receive friends Saturday morning 10-11:30 A.M. in the Funeral Home. Interment will be held at a later date in the Nesquehoning Protestant Cemetery. Andrew P.
