Elizabeth A. Simmons, 83, of Lehighton, entered into eternal rest Friday, September 22, 2023 in Maple Shade Meadows Assistant Living Center, Nesquehoning. She was the wife of the late Donald E.W. Simmons who passed away December 29, 2022. Born in Coaldale, she was the daughter of the late Metro and Elizabeth (Kurtz) Ketz. She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ, Lehighton where she was member of the Daughters of Lion Quilters Group.  She employed as a secretary for Zion United Church of Christ for 30 years until her retirement. Elizabeth was an avid reader but most of all loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Surviving are her daughters Dawn Roberts, and her companion, Larry Labatch, and Diane, wife of David Koch, all of Lehighton; a brother Metro Ketz, husband of Faye, of Lehighton; five grandchildren, Ryan, Regan, Eddie, Kyle, and Kelci; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Private Service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be held in Sky-View Memorial Park, Tamaqua. Andrew P. Ovsak F.H. has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements. Online condolence www.ovsakfh.com.
