Eleanor M. Kreger, 96, of Nesquehoning, Pa. formerly of Union Hill, Jim Thorpe, Albrightsville, & Kunkletown, passed into eternal rest on Sunday, June 8th at Maple Shade Meadows, Nesquehoning. She was the companion of the Late Joseph T. Leonardis for over 50 years. Born in Palmerton, Pa. on Oct. 2, 1928, she was a daughter of the late John & Mary (Haydt) Kreger. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a garment worker at Barson & Bishop Mills & Indigo Jeans with 40 years of service. She also assisted her companion Joe with his variety store and the Leonardis funeral home in Jim Thorpe, Pa. She was a member of Jacob's UCC, Weissport. In her spare time, she enjoyed boating with Joe on Lake Harmony and watching wildlife at her residence in Albrightsville. Surviving are her friends & caregivers Lena & Barbara. She was predeceased by a sister, Marie Henning Kleintop, 2 brother in law's, Darwin Henning, Hayden Kleintop, & a nephew, Darwin Henning Jr .A graveside funeral service in her honor will be held on Monday, June 16th, 2025 at 10 a.m. in Franklin Heights Memorial Park, E. Weissport with Pastor Eunice Hearn officiating. Memorial Contributions in her honor may be sent to Jacob's UCC, 138 Franklin St. Weissport, Pa. 18235. Online condolences can be offered at ovsakfh.com
