Earl (Mike) Andrews, 84 of Lehighton, passed away peacefully with his family on September 24th in Lehigh Valley Hospice. He fought courageously against alzheimer's and lung disease for the last 5 years. He was the son of Clair Andrews Sr. and Eva (George) Andrews. He was born in Unionville, PA on October 22, 1937. He worked for Eschbach Inc. and was a lifetime member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers for 50 years. He also held the office of vice president for 5 years. After retirement he worked for Carbon Lehigh IU 21. He was Asst. Cub Master of Pack 187 for 15 years. He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Mahoning Valley. He enjoyed shopping, vacationing with his family and spending time with his fur babies Bella, Abby and Molly. He was a master at arcade and carnival games. He was an avid sports fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. He is survived by wife Eleanor (Masters) Andrews. On New Years Eve they would celebrate their marriage of 63 years. Four daughters, Wendy Green and Penny Clements (Leo Sr.) of Lehighton, Trudy Keefauver (Bruce) of Hummelstown, Kelly Andrews (Rick Williams) of Clifton Springs, NY, One son, Michael Andrews of Lehighton. Brother Clair Jr. (Beatty) of Tennessee, one sister Eva Dugan of Lehighton. Eight grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by great grandson Leo Clements III and son in law Hilbert Green Jr. Brothers Arlington, Clayton, Edward, Miles, Franklin, Willard and sister Pauline. Memorial Services will be held on Friday Sept. 30, at 11 a.m. at The Ovsak Funeral Home, 190 S. 4th St., Lehighton with SALM Emma Weaver officiating. Call 9:30-11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment in Franklin Heights Memorial Park, East Weissport, Pa.
