Charles (Chuck) L. Hauser Jr., 68, of Lehighton passed into eternal rest in his home. Born in Palmerton, he was the oldest son of Charles and Elizabeth (Mertz) Hauser. He grew up in a military family and traveled extensively throughout his childhood and lived in many states and countries. He was a United States Veteran and served in the United States Air Force and United States Army. He had many interests including playing pool, darts, fishing, artistry, vehicle maintenance and Astronomy. He believed in civilizations beyond this Earth. He was an avid Star Trek fan and never missed an episode of the show or subsequent movies. One of his favorite expressions was “they’re out there, man, they’re out there!” I like to imagine that in his final moment, his thought was “Beam me up, Scotty!” Survivors include his daughter, Jessica Erin of Wisconsin; Sisters Susan Yaich (wife of Daniel Yaich) of Jim Thorpe; and Cathy Ahner (wife of Larry Ahner) of Lehighton; Brothers, Richard (husband of Marianne) of Lansford; and Thomas (husband of Sandra) of Palmerton. Also, several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Robin. Services will be announced at a later date. His ashes will be interred in his mother’s grave at St. Matthews Cemetery in Franklin Township. Contributions to cover his final expenses and condolences may be sent to the Ovsak Funeral Home in Lehighton. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. Please remember him kindly. In ending, in the last words of Leonard Nimoy (a Star Trek actor), he would also say “LIVE LONG AND PROSPER!!!”4/5/2022
