Cecelia Yanick Obituary

Cecelia Yanick, 83, of Lehighton, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully surrounded by love. She was born in Lansford, Pennsylvania, and spent her life deeply rooted in the community she cherished.

Cecelia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John R. Yanick; her parents, Ellen and Norbert Kunzweiler; her siblings, Patricia Black and Rosemary Lower, Norbert Kunzweiler; and her beloved grandson, Ryan Koder.

She is survived by her three daughters, Sheila, wife of Todd Spadt; Deborah, wife of the late Michael Neff; and Raberta, wife of Jeremy Hans. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Alysha, Zach, Valerie, and Devin, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Cecelia is also survived by her siblings, Ellen Stuckley, Theresa Toth, and Elizabeth Dimmich, with whom she shared a lifelong bond of family, tradition, and support.

Cecelia dedicated over 25 years of service to Gnaden Huetten Hospital, where she was known for her reliability, compassion, and strong work ethic. She took pride in her work and the relationships she built there.

Above all else, Cecelia’s greatest joy was her family. She loved her grandchildren fiercely and made it a priority to be present for every milestone, never missing a sporting event, school activity, or graduation. Her daughters were the center of her world, and she supported them with quiet strength, steady love, and unwavering devotion.

Cecelia enjoyed camping with her family, taking walks with friends, and staying active within her community. She valued connection, routine, and time spent with the people she loved most. Her kindness, dependability, and gentle presence will be deeply missed.

Services will be held on January 2, 2026, at SS Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, 3rd & Coal Street, Lehighton, PA. Calling hours will take place at the church from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by the service.
