Bruce L. "Reds" Deibert, 83, of Mahoning Township, Pa. passed away Saturday, April 11th at his residence. He was the husband of Margaret A. "Peg" (Mriss) Deibert, they were married for 58 years last Oct. 14th, 2019. Born in Palmerton, Pa. on April 6, 1937, he was the son of the late Ruth (Sleider) Kerling and the stepson of the late Edward Kerling. He served our country with the US Air Force attaining the rank of Airman 2nd Class. During his enlistment, he was stationed in Africa where he served as a Firefighter.He was of the Protestant faith. Prior to his recent retirement, he was a dump truck owner and previously worked as a self employed owner /operator tractor trailer driver and was leased to East Penn Trucking for over 30 years. A great family man, he enjoyed going to flea markets with his wife, where he collected diecast trucks, cars, airplanes, & watches. He enjoyed his 4 doberman pinschers, and enjoyed traveling to Keywest Florida and loved harvesting grapefruit. Surviving in addition to his wife "Peg" are 2 sons, Bruce Deibert, Edward Deibert, of Lehighton, 3 grandchildren, & 1 great-grandchild.He was predecased by a son, Stephen Mriss. Services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
