Mrs. Phyllis I. (Geiger) Gasker

Mrs. Phyllis I. Gasker, 92, formerly of 249 North 6th Street, Lehighton, passed away Monday, September 4th at The New Eastwood Nursing Home, Easton, Pa. She was the wife of the late Herbert J. Gasker who passed away, March 16th, 2014. Born in Lehighton, she was the daughter of the late Minnie Geiger. Prior to her retirement she was employed at Lehighton Oil Company as a secretary. Along with her husband Herb, she was a very active member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lehighton where she volunteered her time with the Women Of Grace, and sang on the parish choir. She previously served as a Cub Scout Den Mother in the Lehighton community and was a member of The Lehighton Autumn Leaf Club. Surviving are 3 daughters, Alice A., wife of Dr. Jerry Frantz of Columbia Crossroads, Pa., Dr. Janice A. Gasker of Fleetwood, Pa., Adele A. wife of Akos Horvath, of Easton, Pa., 4 sons, Karl J. Gasker & his wife Vivian of Bath, Pa., Herbert A. Gasker & his wife Deanna of Jim Thorpe, Phillip J. Gasker & his wife Myra of Lehighton, Kris J. Gasker & his wife Denise of Lehighton, a close cousin, Nancy Miller, 14 grandchildren, 8 Great-grandchildren, Nieces & Nephews. A Celebration Of Life Service in her honor will be held on Saturday, September 9th at 11 a.m. at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 115 S. 4th St., Lehighton with SALM Emma Weaver officiating followed by interment in The Lehighton Cemetery.
