Mrs. Iva M. (Keiser) Knappenberger

Mrs. Iva M. Knappenberger, 94, of Long Run, Franklin Township, Pa. passed into eternal rest on  Wednesday, April 4th at The Summit Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Lehighton. She was the wife of the late Miles H.C. Knappenberger who preceded her in death on May 16, 1988. Born in Packerton, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Charles & Helen (Zeigenfuss) Keiser. She was a housewife/homemaker and had previously worked in the local silk mills. She formerly attended church services at the former St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Long Run. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching western movies on her television. Surviving are 2 daughters, Bonnie L. Trinkle of Lehighton, Judy A., wife of Stephen Hahn of Long Run, 3 sons, Miles Knappenberger & his wife Barbara of Long Run, James Knappenberger & his wife Barbara of East Penn Township, Randy Keiser of Drums, Pa., several grandchildren & great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by 2 sisters, Beatrice Ahner, Mildred Herman, & 2 brothers Raymond & Robert Keiser. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 10th at 12 noon at The Ovsak FH, 190 S. 4th St., Lehighton with SALM Emma Weaver officiating. Call 10-12 noon at the funeral home.
