Mr. William G. Schaub Jr.

Mr. William G. Schaub Jr., 83, of Franklin Township, passed away Saturday December 2nd in McAdoo, Pa. He was the husband of Margaret E. (McAnulty) Schaub. They were married for 44 years on Sept. 16th , 2017. Born in Flushing/Queens, New York, he was a son of the late William G. & Mary (Callan) Schaub Sr. He served our country with the US Army & The US Navy during the Korean War. Prior to his retirement, he was employed for over 23 years as a New York City police officer. He was a member of SS Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, Lehighton & The Knights Of Columbus, DeSoto Council 327, New York City. In his spare time, he enjoyed bowling & spending time with his loving family. Surviving in addition to his wife are 2 daughters, Tonya, wife of John McLaughlin of Lehighton, Kristal Astalos & her husband, Charles Larson, of Maceyville, NY, 5 sons, Gregory Schaub, & his wife Jennifer of Otego, NY, Thomas Schaub & his wife Wendy  of Lehighton, Pa., Timothy Schaub & his wife Tammy, of Palmerton, Pa., Daniel Schaub & his wife Amanda, of McAdoo, Pa. Wayne Schaub, & his wife Kristen of Lehighton, Pa., 2 brothers, Albert Schaub & his wife Ellen, James Schaub all of NY, 16 grandchildren, nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by an infant daughter, Laura , a son Richard, & 2 brothers, Walter & Douglas Schaub. Prayers will be held on Thursday, Dec. 7th at 9:30 a.m. at The Ovsak FH, 190 S. 4th St., Lehighton followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at SS Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, 260 North 3rd St., Lehighton with the Reverend Michael E. Ahrensfield officiating. Call 8:15 to 9:30 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment in SS Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery, N. 4th St., Lehighton with full military honors under the direction of the Lehighton Area UVO.
