Mr. Thomas Klemka Obituary

Mr. Thomas C. Klemka, 82, of Lehighton passed away Saturday, August 25th at St. Luke’s Hospital, Lehighton, Pa. He was the husband of Gail D. (Sendel) Kelmka. They were married for 17 years on April 21st of this year. Born May 24th 1936 in Phillipsburg, New Jersey, he was a son of the late Leo J. & Ella T. (Powers) Klemka. He was a 1955 graduate of Phillipsburg High School and later served our country with the United States Air Force. Prior to his retirement, he was employed at Ingersoll Rand, Phillipsburg, NJ as a machinist with 43 years of service. He was a member of Zion United Church of Lehighton and held a membership with The Lehighton American Legion Post 314. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking. Surviving in addition to his wife is a brother, John Klemka of Post Orange, Florida, a step-son, William Snyder & his wife Kim of Lehighton, a step-grandson Ronald Snyder of Lehighton, nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by 2 sons, Ronald, in 2006 & Thomas, in 2012, a sister, Marie Rafter, & 4 brothers, Leo, Francis, James, & Edward. Services & Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
