Mr. Ronald Blaine House

Mr. Ronald Blaine House, 80, of Franklin Township, Pa. passed into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 1st at his residence. He was the husband of Shirley M. (Sheckler) House. They were married for 58 years this past February 28th, 2017. Born in Palmerton, Pa., he was a son of the late Frederick & Florence (Frable) House. He served our country with the US Navy during the Korean war aboard the USS Wisconsin & the USS Hermitage, attaining the rank of DCG2. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a machinist at Mack Trucks in Lehigh County. Ronald was member of Faith Alive United Methodist Church, Bowmanstown, The Lehighton American Legion Post 314,  The Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Co., and was a “Brother of the Brush” during the 1966 Lehighton Centennial. In his spare time, he enjoyed Motorcycling, Hunting, Camping & traveling the United States with his loving wife & family. Surviving in addition to his wife are 2 daughters, Kim, wife of Kevin Manspeaker of Akron, Pa., Cindy, wife of David Sechler, of Reamstown, Pa., 2 sons, Keith House & his wife Lisa, of East Penn Township, Kerry House & his wife Nancy, of Port Carbon, Pa., a brother, Robert House, & his wife Patricia of Gettysburg, Pa., a daughter in law, Tamara House of Allentown Pa., 15 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Rhonda Sommers, a son, Blaine House, a sister, Geraldine Roth, & a brother, Richard House.  Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 5th at 11 a.m. at Faith Alive UMC, 678 Pine St. Palmerton-(Bowmanstown) with Keith L. House officiating. Call Friday evening  Aug, 4th from 6-8 p.m. at The Ovsak FH, 190 S. 4th St., Lehighton & 10-11 a.m. at the church on Sat morning. Interment in Franklin Heights Memorial Park, E. Weissport, Pa. with Full Military Honors under the direction of the Lehighton Area UVO.
