Mr. Read O. Potter

Mr. Read O. Potter, 72, of East Lizard Creek Road, Lehighton, passed away Friday, Nov. 17th in The Palmerton Hospital, Palmerton, Pennsylvania. He was the husband of the late Linda Jo (Collier) Potter and the current companion of Theresa Terray, of Lehighton. Born in Upland, California, he was the son of the late William V. & Virginia L. (Hansen) Potter. He served our country with the US Navy during the Viet Nam War.  Read earned his bachelor’s & master’s degrees from The Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by The Department of Veterans Affairs X-ray & Medical Administration. He was member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mahoning Valley, Pa., The Disciples of Christ Denomination-First Christian Church, Elks Lodge #643,& The Disabled American Veterans of Riverside, California. Surviving are 2 sisters, Lois, wife of Michael Lackie of Riverside, California, Mary Twogood, of Las Vegas, Nevada, a close friend, Mark Luepnitz of Lincoln, Nebraska, nieces & nephews. Private Memorial Services  at the convenience of the family will be held in The Olivewood Memorial Park, Riverside, California.
