Mr. Norman J. Ellis, 79, formerly of 12 West Lizard Creek Road, East Penn Township, passed into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 7th at The Summit Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Lehighton, Pennsylvania. Born in Parryville, Pennsylvania, December 12, 1937, he was a son of the late Howard J. & Helene E. (Reehl) Ellis. He served our country with the Pennsylvania Army National Guard from 1960-1966 and was stationed at Fort Polk, Louisiana and was activated for the Cuban Missile Crisis. Prior to his retirement, he was employed at The Bethlehem Steel Corporation where he worked in the Beam Yard & the Ingot Mold Department. He was of the Protestant Faith. Norman held memberships at The East Penn Volunteer Fire Company & The East Penn Sporting Club. An aviation enthusiast, he previously took flying lessons. Surviving is a sister, Marlene, wife of Richard Reiner of Lehighton, 2 brothers, Carl Ellis of Palmerton, Donald Ellis of Walnutport, nieces & nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 10th at 11 a.m. at The Andrew P. Ovsak Funeral Home, 190 South 4th Street, Lehighton, Pennsylvania with the Reverend Michael J. McGowan officiating.
