Mr. John H. Arnold Jr.

Mr. John H. Arnold Jr., 58, of Pine Street (Packerton) Lehighton, Pennsylvania passed into eternal rest on Sunday, June 4th in The Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Jane L. Snyder Arnold. They were married for 17 years on September 18th 2016. Born & raised in Fountain Hill, Bethlehem, Pa., he was a son of Dolores J. (Shannon) Arnold & the late John H. Arnold Sr. He was a 1977 graduate of Salisbury High School.  John was a member of Laborer’s Union Local #158. He most recently worked in the construction/natural gas industry and formerly worked as a concrete foreman for Charles Chrin & as a laborer for Canjulyn Contractors. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Packerton, The Packerton Old Timers Club,  The Lehighton Orioles Nest #183, The Beaver Run Rod & Gun Club, and held a Life membership at Lehigh Fire Co. #1, Lehighton. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, outdoorsman. Surviving in addition to his wife & mother, is a daughter, Shannon E. Arnold, a son, Hunter C. Arnold of Lehighton, a sister, Carol Holtzhafer of Trexlertown, a brother, William A. Arnold of Bethlehem, a step-daughter, Kate, wife of Jai Mertz, a niece, Megan, a nephew, Randy,  & 2 step-granddaughters, Kylie & Eryn. A Celebration Of Life Service in his honor will be held on Saturday, June 17th at 1 p.m. at The Packerton Old Timer’s Club, 102 Pine Street, (Packerton) Lehighton. Call 11-1 p.m. at the POT Club.
