Mr. Jeffrey L. Ashner, 71, of Pompano Beach, Florida, formerly of Main Road, East Weissport, & Lincoln Ave. Bowmanstown, passed into eternal rest on March 28th in John Knox Village-Trustbridge Hospice, Pompano Beach Florida. Born in Allentown, Pa. on Friday, February 13, 1948, he was the son of the late James & Beatrice (Eaches) Ashner. He was a 1966 graduate of the Lehighton Area High School and later attended Lehigh County Community College. He served our country with the US Navy during the Viet Nam War attaining the rank of HM3. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a customer service specialist with Blue Ridge Communications. A Graveside Prayer Service in his honor will be held on Monday, April 15th at 11 a.m. at St. Matthews Cemetery, North Weissport followed by full military honors under the direction of the Lehighton Area UVO.
