Mr. Herman D. Hartman Jr., 92, of Mahoning Township passed away Thursday, October 18th at St. Luke’s Hospital-Lehighton. He was the husband of the late Diane M. (Heffelfinger) Hartman who passéd away February 25, 1994. Born March 29, 1926 in Temple, Pa., he was a son of the late Herman & Verna (Stoudt) Hartman Sr. He most recently was employed as a custodian for the Lehighton Area School District and previously worked as a carpenter, bricklayer, & electrician. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Tamaqua, Pa. Surviving are 2 sons, Christopher Hartman & his wife Dorothea Lynn of Palmerton, Alan Hartman & his wife Faye of Andreas, a sister, Shirley Trainer, 2 brothers, John Hartman, Richard “Micky” Hartman & his wife Lorraine of Lehighton, 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Robert & George. A Memorial Service in his honor at the Kingdom Hall Of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Tamaqua, will be announced in the future.
