Mr. Hayden R. Snyder

Mr. Hayden R. Snyder, 86, of Palmerton, passed into eternal rest on Monday, October 7th at the Hospice House of the VNA/St. Luke’s, Bethlehem, Pa. He was the husband of Marva R. (Berger) Snyder, They were married for 53 years this past August. Born in Lehighton on Friday, December 16, 1932, he was a son of the late  Raymond R. & Elsie V. (Doll) Snyder. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a Die Caster for Blue Ridge Pressure Castings with over 40 years of dedicated/diligent service where he also organized and played softball on the company softball team. Hayden was a member of Blue Mountain Community Church, Palmerton, Pa. In his spare time, he could be found spending time with his wife & family, cruising, watching New York Yankees baseball, Penn State & Philadelphia Eagles football, Bowling & golfing with his close friends. Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter, Jody, wife of John Schweizer of Palmerton, a sister, Janice Cunfer of Palmerton, 3 granddaughters, Madison & Stephanie Schweizer, Erica Mesaros, nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by 2 brothers, Raymond & Glenn "Fritz" Snyder, 2 grandchildren, Tyler J.G. Andrew, Vanessa A. Hand & a great-grandson, Joshua Hayden. A Celebration Of Life Service in his honor will be held on Friday, October 11th at 11 a.m. at Blue Mountain Community Church, 25 Oak St. Palmerton with  Reverends  Jennifer & Cliff Eckhart officiating. Call 10-11 a.m. in the church. The interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorial Contributions in his honor may be made to the Blue Mtn.
