Mr. Donald D. Dotter

Mr. Donald D. Dotter, 77, of Franklin Township, Pa., passed away, Saturday, January 26th at The Mahoning Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of Mary Louise (Stewart) Dotter. They were married for 46 years last December 8th, 2018. Born on Thursday, July 17, 1941 in Albrightsville, Pa. he was a son of the late Charles & Emma (Walck) Dotter. He served our country with the Pennsylvania Army National Guard during the Viet Nam War with 12 years of service. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a plumber with 47 years of service. He was last employed by Keiper Plumbing of Pocono Lake. Don was of the Lutheran faith. He was a member of the Pocono Pines American Legion Post 413, The Mauch Chunk Rod & Gun Club, & The Tobyhanna Township Volunteer Fire Company. A unique person, he was the family hero and was loved by his caring wife & family & friends. Surviving in addition to his wife are 2 daughters, Janice, wife of Brian Ohl of Jim Thorpe, Diana, wife of Justin Anglemyer of Tannersville, 3 sons, Raymond Dotter & his wife Nancy of Long Pond, Robert Dotter of Lehighton, Richard Dotter and his wife Joyce of Indiana, a sister, Linda, wife of Andrew “Jake” Singer of Tannersville, a brother, Lawrence Dotter & his wife Susan of North Carolina, 12 grandchildren, nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by an infant brother, Richard Dotter.  A Celebration of Life Service in his honor will be held on Wed. Jan. 30 at 6:30 p.m. at The Ovsak FH, 190 S. 4th St., Lehighton with SALM Emma Weaver officiating. Call 5-6:30 p.m. Wed. Private Interment.
