Mr. Donald Leslie Allen

Mr. Donald L. Allen, 86, of Lehighton, Pa. passed away Saturday, June 24th at The Summit Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Lehighton. He was the husband of Eva B. (Van Horn) Allen. They were married for 64 years last December 6th, 2016.  Mr. Allen served our country with the United States Army during the Korean War with the Hq Co 278th Infantry Battalion attaining the rank of PFC (T).Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a chemical operator for Hoffman La Roche Pharmaceutical Company. He was a member of The Living Hope Lighthouse Church, Palmerton, Pa.  In  his spare time, he enjoyed flying kites and visiting the New Jersey shore with his loving family. Surviving in addition to his wife is a son Donald W. Allen & his wife Margaret of Lehighton, a daughter, Linda D. Adams & her husband Gerald of California, a brother, Ralph Allen of Ohio, 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by 3 sisters, Ruth Denhart, Kathlynn More, & Joyce Rader. A graveside service in his honor will be held on Friday, June 30th at 11 a.m. at Northampton Memorial Shrine, 3051 Green Pond Road, Easton, Pa. 18045 with the Reverend Christopher Bronico officiating.
