Mr. Clair M. “Pepper” Andreas, 90, of East Penn Township, passed into eternal rest on Sunday, March 4th at his residence. He was the husband of the late Caroline A.( Kosman) Andreas & the late Christine R. (Savitz) Andreas. Born in Mahoning Township, he was a son of the late Mark & Evelyn (Creitz) Andreas. He served our country with the United States Marine Corps, 2nd Marine Airwing, during the Korean War attaining the rank of Sergeant. Prior to his retirement, he was the owner of Andreas Plumbing/Electrical/HVAC contracting in the surrounding area, retiring in 1990. He was a very active member of Ben Salem UCC, East Penn Township where he previously served on the church council for many years. Clair held Life memberships with the Andreas Sporting Club & The Andreas Volunteer Fire Company. He also held memberships with the St. Nicholas Club, Allentown, Pa. & The Lehighton American Legion Post 314. Surviving is a daughter, Cathy L., wife of Edward Marzen of Andreas, Pa., a son Jeffrey C. Andreas & his wife Karen of Andreas, Pa., a brother, Murray Andreas & his wife Kathryn of Nesquehoning, Pa., 7 Grandchildren, 20 Great-grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews and his current friend LaRue Fritz. He was predeceased by a son Timothy Andreas, & 2 brothers, Robert & Lawrence Andreas. A Celebration Of Life Service in his honor will be held on Friday, March 9th at 11:30 a.m. at Ben Salem UCC, 1965 Church Hill Rd., Lehighton with the Reverend Michael J. McGowan officiating followed by Military Honors under the direction of the Lehighton Area UVO. Call 10-11:30 a.m. in the church. Private Interment.
