Mr. Bruce R. Rehrig Sr.

Mr. Bruce R. Rehrig Sr., 84, of Lehighton, passed away Tuesday, October 31st, 1 day shy of his 85th birthday at The Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. He was the husband of the late Kathryn R. Schoch Rehrig who passed away, October 2, 2011. Born in Palmerton, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Clayton & Ruth (Young) Rehrig. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by The Bethlehem Steel Corporation in the drop forge department with 45 years of service. He was of the Lutheran Faith. Rehrig was a Life Member of Lehigh Fire Company #1, Lehighton, Pa. An avid outdoorsman, he formerly enjoyed pheasant, grouse, & wood cock hunting with his German short-haired pointer. An avid Angler, he enjoyed fishing/jigging for pan fish on the lakes of Pennsylvania, especially during the ice fishing season. Surviving is a son, Bruce R. Rehrig Jr. & his wife Audrey M. of Lehighton, a grandson, Jamie Rehrig & his wife Lea of Lansford, a great granddaughter, Dominique Rehrig of Harrisburg, nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by 2 sisters, Helen & Kathryn. Funeral Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
