Mr. Bruce L. Hawk Sr.

Mr. Bruce L. Hawk Sr., 69, of Ashfield, Pa., passed away Thursday, December 20th at The Inpatient Hospice Unit of Lehigh Valley Hospital, 17th & Chew St., Allentown, Pa. He was the husband of Mary L. (Bergey) Hawk of Ashfield. They were married for 49 years on December 7th 2018. Born in Ashfield, Pa. on Tuesday, October 25th, 1949 , he was a son of the late Irvin & Violet (Saltzman) Hawk. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a construction worker for Heavy Highway Laborers Local #158. He previously was employed as a diesel mechanic. Mr. Hawk was a member of Dinkey Memorial Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ashfield, Pa. and the Slatington Skeet Club. In his spare time, he could be found spending time with his family ,hunting, fishing, and woodworking.  Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, Bruce L. Hawk Jr. of Ashfield, 3 sisters, Carol, wife of Colin Rehrig, of Lehighton, Betty, wife of Walter Glassic of Ashfield, Janice, wife of Frederick Muschko of Northampton, a brother, Donald Hawk & his wife Marilyn of Slatedale, 5 grandchildren, Shaine, Sloan, Rachael, Madisyn, Madalin, a great-grandson, Carson, nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter Lisa M. Hawk in 1996,  a son Jonathan E. Hawk in 2011, 3 sisters, Pauline & Dorothy Smith, Violet Hawk, & 2 brothers, Richard & Erwin Hawk Jr. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, Dec. 28th at 11 a.m. at Dinkey Memorial Lutheran Church, 1742 Dinkey Road, Ashfield, Pa. with the Reverend Anthony P. Pagotto officiating. Call 9:30-11 a.m. in the church. Interment in the parish cemetery.
