Mr. Albert J. Balliet Jr.

Mr. Albert J. Balliet Jr., 48, of Lehighton, passed away Thursday, May 10th at St. Luke’s Hospital-Allentown Pa. Born in Lehighton on Tuesday, June 10, 1969, he was the son of Albert J. Balliet Sr. of Lehighton and the late Virginia M. (Hettler) Balliet who passed away on Thursday April 3, 2008. He was most recently employed at KME apparatus, Nesquehoning, Pa. as a janitor/maintenance worker. He was of the Christian Faith. Albert was a Life member of Lehigh Fire Company #1 and formerly volunteered his time with the Lehighton Fire Police. He held social memberships with the Lehighton Orioles Nest #183, The Packerton Old Timers Association & The Beaver Run Rod & Gun Club. Surviving in addition to his father is a sister, Georgene L. Balliet and a nephew, Franklin John Derr III of Lehighton. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 14th at 11 a.m. at The Andrew P. Ovsak FH, 190 South 4th St., Lehighton with SALM Emma Weaver officiating. Call 9:30-11 a.m. on Monday. The private interment will be at a later date in the Parryville Cemetery, Memorial Contributions in his name may be made to The Carbon County Animal Shelter, 63 Broad St. Nesquehoning, Pa. 18240 or Carbon County Friends of Animals, 77 West 13th St., Jim Thorpe, Pa. 18229.
