Mrs. Lorraine Kromis, 87, of Allentown, Pa. passed away Saturday evening Sept. 22nd at Whitehall Manor. She was the wife of the late Leroy A. Kromis Jr. who passed away Jan. 11th of this year. Born in Lansford, Pa. July 5th, 1931, she was the daughter of the late George Patterson & Helen (Eckroad) Gardiner. Lorraine was a housewife/homemaker and worked in the banking industry and formerly served as a Musical Occupational Therapist at Cedarbrook. She was a member of the former Midway Manor Moravian Church, Allentown where she served as pianist/organist. She spent many hours with her husband as an ambassador to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her loving family and baking. Surviving is a daughter, Audrey L. Schell of Walnutport, a son, Leroy A. Kromis III & his wife Teresa of Allentown, 3 grandchildren, Heather Weist, Chip Schell, Caitlin Kromis, 4 Great-grandchildren, Abby, Ashley, Tyler, & Alexis. She was preceded in death by a son, George Kromis. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, Sept. 28th at 11 a.m. at The Ovsak FH, 190 South 4th St., Lehighton with SALM Emma Weaver officiating. Call 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral Home. Interment in The GAR cemetery, Summit Hill, Pa.
