Evelyn A. (Walck) Williams

Evelyn A. Williams, 88, formerly of State Road, & South 3rd Street, Lehighton, passed away Thursday, December 21st at Weatherwood, Weatherly, Pa. She was the companion of the late Mahlon Reichard. Born in Long Run, she was a daughter of the late Eugene R. & Bertha (Walck) Walck. She was adopted & raised by her aunt   Florence Weidman. She was a housewife/homemaker caring for her loving family. Evelyn was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mahoning Valley. She loved spending time with her family and having dinner with her companion Mahlon at the Lehighton Legion. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling to the local events, especially the Bloomsburg Fair. Surviving are 3 daughters, Sandra, wife of Larry Serfass of Bowmanstown, Wanda, wife of Danny Strohl of Lehighton, Florence, wife of Carl Haydt of Lehighton, 3 sons, Dale Williams & his wife Debbie of Lehighton, Dennis Williams & his wife Shirley of Walnutport, Terry Williams of Lehighton, 3 sisters, Sandra Bjerk of Minnesota, Pat Sterling of Lehighton, Carol Solt of Carbon County, 2 step-brothers, Harry Johnson of Palmerton, Henry Walck, whereabouts unknown, 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, nieces & nephews.  She was predeceased by a sister, Betty Mendson, 2 brothers, Herbert Strohl, Charles Walck, a great-grandson Patrick Serfass & 2 infant siblings at birth. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 23rd at 11 a.m. at The Ovsak FH, 190 S. 4th St. with the Reverend Christopher Deforest officiating.
