Christopher R. Eberly departed this world on July 12, 2018 at his home in Lehighton, Pennsylvania. His heart--which had given so much--simply gave out. He was 41 years old and is survived by his three sons Clayton, Jesse, and Jackson. His love and pride for his boys is unending, and he passed along to each of them his love for music. In addition, he also leaves behind his devoted and loving dog, Sandy. We have lost an artist, a dreamer, a counselor, a father, a brother, a son, and a friend. He will be missed.
Chris enjoyed his work as a counselor for a number of group homes and facilities dedicated to the care of persons on the fringes of society. Chris delighted in hearing their stories and sharing in their laughter. His work allowed him to employ his deep reserves of empathy for others. At home, he was devoted to his boys. His easy smile, unorthodox sense of humor, and gentle spirit guided his boys and others through the heartaches and joys of life.
At his request, there will not be a traditional service for Chris. Instead there will be a modest gathering held for family and friends, not to mourn, but to celebrate his life and support one another. The time and date are still to be determined. The Ovsak Funeral Home, Lehighton in is charge of the arrangements.
