Mrs. Mildred M. "Mickey" (Kosman) Frantz

Mrs. Mildred M. “Mickey” Frantz, 85, of Dairy Road, Tamaqua passed into eternal rest on Friday, March 31st at her residence. She was the wife Of Chester G. Frantz. They were married for 66 years last May 20, 2016. Born in Howertown, Pa. she was a daughter of the late Edwin & Anna M.J. (Kromer) Kosman.   She was a housewife/homemaker attending to her loving family’s endeavors. “Mickey” was a very active member of Ben Salem United Church of Christ, East Penn Township. She volunteered as a Sunday school teacher, served as the church secretary, sang on the parish choir, and served as a parish willing worker. She was a former Carbon County 4-H Club leader at Ben Salem Church, assisting the local members with their projects. In her spare time, she enjoyed baby-sitting and taking great care of her grandchildren and family. Surviving in addition to her husband is a daughter, Lynn L. wife of Gregory Warkala of Franklin Township, a son, Richard D. & his wife Louise of Andreas, 7 grandchildren, Michael Warkala, Kaitlyn & Sarah Frantz, Daniel Swinesburg, David, Samantha, & Mariah Gordon, 2 great-great-grandchildren, Damian & Addison Gordon, nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Joanne E. Gordon, 2 sisters, Emaline Blum, Caroline Andreas, & 2 brothers, Reuben & Edwin Kosman. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 5th at 11 a.m. at Ben Salem UCC, 1965 Church Hill Road, Lehighton, Pa. with the Reverend Michael J. McGowan officiating.
