Mrs. Elizabeth A. (Coppie) Behler

Mrs. Elizabeth A. Behler, 65, of Mahoning Valley, Pa. passed into eternal rest on Friday, May 5th at The Gnaden Huetten Hospital, Lehighton, Pa. She was the wife of Curtis F. “Butch” Behler Jr. They were married for  48 years last July 6th, 2016. Born in Coaldale, Pa. , she was a daughter of the late Paul & Dorothy E. (Zeigler) Coppie. Prior to her retirement, she was employed in the garment industry at Scotty’s Fashions, Paris Neckwear, & Pam’s Sportswear. She also previously worked part time at Burger King, McDonalds, and at The Gnaden Huetten Hospital cafeteria. A devout Christian, she read her bible faithfully and held a membership at Salem Bible Fellowship Church, Mahoning Valley. Surviving in addition to her husband are 2 daughters, Lynne A., wife of Jack Gossett of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Kerry A., wife of David Kresge of Nesquehoning, 2 sisters, Patricia, wife of Arthur Miller of Lehighton, Diane Romanisko of Nesquehoning, 3 brothers, Michael Coppie & his wife Pat of Jim Thorpe, Paul Coppie & his wife Lisa of Coaldale, David Coppie, of Indiana, 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by 2 sisters, Dorothy Hvizdalek, & Mary Ann Wolfe. A Celebration Of Life Service in her honor will be held on Wednesday, May 10th at 11 a.m. at Salem Bible Fellowship Church, 1105 Fredericks Grove Road, Lehighton with the Reverend Robert A. Johnson II officiating. Call 9-11 a.m. in the church. The interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
