Mrs. Carole Faust (Faust) Scott

Mrs. Carole Faust Scott, 81, of Franklin Township & most recently a resident of Country Meadows, Allentown, passed away Saturday, September 2nd at her residence in Franklin Township, Pa. She was the wife of the late Reverend H. Wilson Scott who passed away, Friday, Feb.25th, 2011 at their residence in Franklin Township. Born in New Kensington, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Donald T. & Charlotte K. (Roy) Faust. She was a graduate of Penn Hall Prep School and Bucknell University where she earned a B.S. in Music Education. While at B.U. she was a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha, Phi Mu Epsilon, & Kappa Delta Epsilon. She was accompanist & student conductor for the Women’s Glee Club as well as singing with the Chapel Choir and accompanying musical shows for the University Players. Upon retiring from public school teaching, Carole began a career as a church organist & choir director. During a span of over 45 years she served a number of churches of different denominations in Lehigh & Carbon Counties. She was also active at the Jim Thorpe Opera House, and was employed by the Lehighton Area School District for nearly 30 years as a Library Aide & Secretary. A member of First Presbyterian Church, Lehighton, Carole relocated to Country Meadows, Allentown, where she continued to share her pianistic gift with residents at church services and whenever needed. Surviving is a daughter, Diana K. Kaszytski and her companion Jeff Benner of Lehighton, a brother, David Faust & his wife Ann of Washington, Pa. 2 grandsons, Nicholas & Harlan, nieces & nephews. A Celebration Of Life Service will be announced in the future.
