Mrs. Betty Anna (Rodgers) Sauchinitz

Mrs. Betty Anna Sauchinitz, 92, of Franklin Township, passed away Sunday, January 14th at her residence. She was the wife of the late Michael Sauchinitz who died on April 23, 1998. Born In Lehighton, she was a daughter of the late Theodore & Grace (Hall) Rodgers. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a factory worker in the garment industry and served her family as a homemaker/housewife. She was a member of the former St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Weissport.  She enjoyed spending time with her loving family and enjoyed cooking & baking. Surviving are 2 sons, Stephen L. Sauchinitz & his wife Tina, Gary M. Sauchinitz & his wife Debra of Lehighton, a sister, Louise Schwartz of Florida, 2 brothers, Lamont Rodgers & his wife Maralyn, Warner Rodgers & his wife Diane of Lehighton, 5 grandchildren, Amanda, Stephen, DeAnna, Scott, & Eric, 7 great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson, Jason Sauchinitz, 2 sisters, Helen Keiser, JoAnne Smith Rosetti, & 4 brothers, Lester, William, Merle, & James. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
