Mrs. Audrey G. (Berger) Strohl

Mrs. Audrey G. Strohl, 86, of Lehighton, passed away Friday Feb. 24th at The Mahoning Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Mahoning Township. She was the wife of the late Curtis M. Strohl whom she shared 51 years of marriage before his passing in 2009. Born in East Penn Township, she was a daughter of the late Raymond G. & Mabel I. (Shoemaker) Berger. Prior to retiring, she was employed at The Mahoning Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center as a nurse’s aide. She previously worked at the Baer Silk Mill and also worked as an in home caregiver. Audrey was a member of Dinkey Memorial Lutheran Church Ashfield, Pa. She enjoyed playing bingo at the Mahoning Valley Ambulance Assoc. & at The Towamensing Volunteer Fire Co. She loved spending time with her family & grandchildren. Surviving is a daughter, Donna, wife of Kim Green of Bethlehem, Pa., a daughter in law, Susan Strohl of Lehighton, a grandson, Brendan of Whitehall, 2 granddaughters, Jenny of Florida, Jamie of Bethlehem, a brother, Darwin & his wife Nancy & a brother in law Marvin Smith of East Penn Township, 5 nieces & 2 nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Barry D. & 2 sisters, Elaine Smith & Shirley Schnell. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 3rd at 11 a.m. at The Ovsak FH, 190 S. 4th St., Lehighton with the Rev. Anthony P. Pagotto officiating.
