Mr. Stephen A. Trinkle

Mr. Stephen A. Trinkle, 71, of Franklin Township, Pa. passed away Saturday September 9th at The Gnaden Huetten Hospital. He was the husband of Bonnie L. (Knappenberger) Trinkle. They were married for 16 years on March 24th  2017. Born in Nesquehoning, Pennsylvania, he was a son of Mrs. Mary (Vaccaro)Trinkle of Bethlehem, Pa. & the late Joseph S. Trinkle.  Steve served our country with the United States Navy during the Viet Nam War. Prior to his retirement he was a self-employed truck driver. He was of the Roman Catholic Faith. He was a member of the Lehighton American Legion Post 314, the Mauch Chunk Motor Heads Car Club, & was a regular at the 443 Diner Coffee Club. An avid animal lover, he enjoyed spending time with his dog Lacey. Surviving in addition to his wife are 3 daughters, Mary of Nis Hollow & her companion Mike Rudelitsch, Stephanie, wife of Blaine Sterner of Kunkletown, Stacey, wife of John Valick of Jim Thorpe,  a sister, Janet, wife of Michael Phingstl of Arizona, 3 brothers, Charley Trinkle & his wife Gertrude of Bethlehem, Joseph Trinkle & his wife Carol of Bowmanstown, Donato Trinkle & his companion Barbara Keinert of Bethlehem, a grandson, Trenton Rex, nieces & nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 15th at 11 a.m. at The Ovsak FH, 190 S. 4th St., Lehighton with SALM Emma Weaver officiating. Call 6-8 p.m. Thursday Sept. 14th and 10-11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment in Long Run Cemetery with Full Military Honors under the direction of the Lehighton Area UVO.
