Mr. Ronald E. Hagenbuch Sr.

Mr. Ronald E. Hagenbuch Sr., 78, of Lehighton passed away Tuesday, January 3rd at his residence. He was the husband of Darlene E. Rohlfing Hagenbuch. They were married for 39 years last July 23rd, 2016. Born in Palmerton, Pa., he was the son of the late Elmer & Elsie (Young) Hagenbuch. He served our country with the US Army during the Viet Nam War attaining the rank of SPEC-4 Medical Specialist. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a machinist at Martin Sprocket & Gear, Danielsville, Pa. He formerly worked in the same capacity at The Strick Corporation, Lehighton & The Bethlehem Steel Corporation. He was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church, Lehighton. An avid sportsman, he enjoyed hunting large & small game in the local area. He was a former member of the Jim Thorpe & Nesquehoning Dart Leagues and formerly coached the “Cousins II” girls softball team. Surviving in addition to his wife are 2 daughters, Amy, wife of Chris Burkey of Lehighton, Lori, a son Ronald E. Jr., a sister Brenda Kuntz of Lehighton, & 1 grandson whom he adored, Carson Burkey. He was predeceased by a sister, Shirley Johnson. A Celebration Of Life Service in his honor will be held on Tuesday, January 10th at 11 a.m. at All Saints Episcopal Church,  2nd & Coal St., Lehighton with The Reverend Rebecca Parsons Cancelliere officiating followed by Full Military Honors under the direction of the Lehighton Area UVO.
