Mr. Donald H. Marshall

Mr. Donald H. Marshall, 82, of Walnutport, Pa. passed away Saturday Dec. 23rd at The Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Sharon P. (Steigerwalt) Marshall. They were married for 57 years on May 26th, 2017. Born in Walnutport, he was the son of the late Donald M. & Evelyn (Hofmann) Marshall. Donald was a graduate of The Palmerton High School, Class of 1953. He attended Penn State University, Allentown Campus. He served our country with the US Air Force from 1955 thru 1957 attaining the rank of Airman 2nd Class. Prior to retiring, he was employed at The United Parcel Service as a double trailer truck driver with 28 years of service. He was a huge contributor to Marshall's Market in Lehighton. He was of the Lutheran Faith. Donny was a Life Member of Lehigh Fire Company #1, Lehighton and as an avid outdoorsman, held a membership at The Andreas Sporting Club. An avid auto racing enthusiast, he and his wife Sharon worked for and kept a membership with USAC at Indianapolis, and also sponsored a race car driven by Mel Mondschein of New Jersey. Surviving in addition to his wife are 2 grandchildren, Kerri Lynn Marshall of Concord, North Carolina, & Jarrid S. Marshall, of Charlotte North Carolina. He was predeceased by a son Gary D. Marshall. Funeral Services will be held on Wed. Dec. 27th at 11 a.m. at The Ovsak FH, 190 S. 4th St., Lehighton with SALM Emma Weaver officiating. Call 9:30-11 a.m. on Wednesday.
