Mr. Charles W. Zellner Sr., 74, of Summit Hill, Pa. passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Michele A. (Bench) Zellner. They were married for 57 years last July 18th, 2016. Born in Mahoning Valley, he was a son of the late Reuben RF & Margaret A. (Hayman) Zellner Sr. He most recently worked for Allied Septic Co. as a truck driver and formerly worked for The New Jersey Zinc Co., Palmerton, & The Bethlehem Steel Co. He formerly attended church services at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Jim Thorpe, Pa. An avid fisherman, hunter, sportsman/outdoorsman, he formerly belonged to Beaver Run Rod & Gun Club and held a Life Membership in The North American Hunting & Fishing Club of America.  He enjoyed camping with his family, flea marketing, & taking fishing trips to Canada. Surviving in addition to his wife are 2 sisters, Joan wife of Daniel Marsolick , Elizabeth wife of Leo Wiserski, a brother, Reuben Zellner Jr. of Summit Hill,  four children, AuraLee Applegate of Lansford, Martin E. Zellner of Summit Hill, Lisa Pacheco of Tamaqua, Charles Zellner Jr. of Northumberland,  eight grandchildren, Jason Applegate of Lansford, Jamie Applegate of Summit Hill, Sadie Kerestes, Brianna Monks of Coaldale, Lea Rehrig of Lansford, Matthew Zellner of Long Island, Isabella Zellner, Leslie Zellner of Bloomsburg, five great-grandchildren, Nataly & Zachary Kerestes, Rylee & Dakota Monks, Jerricho Applegate, & his beloved dog, Bella. He was predeceased by 2 infant brothers, Robert & Frank Zellner. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 24th at 3:30 p.m. at The Ovsak FH, 190 S. 4th St., Lehighton with SALM Emma Weaver officiating. Call 2:30 to 3:30 at the funeral home.
