Leroy A. Kromis Jr.

Brother Leroy A. Kromis Jr. PM of Allentown was called off from labor on Thursday January 11th. He was the husband of Lorraine G. (Gardiner) Kromis. They were married for 64 years last Aug. 29th 2017.  Born In Luzerne County, Pa., he was a son of the late Leroy A. & Elizabeth (Buchman) Kromis Sr. After high school graduation, he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Commerce from Penn State College. Prior to retiring, he was employed as the Integrated Circuit Supervisor and held the title of Senior Employee at Agere. He previously worked in the same capacity for Lucent & Western Electric. He attended services at The Midway Manor Moravian Church of Allentown. He was a 50 year plus member of Saucon Masonic Lodge #469 Coopersburg, Pa. where he served as Worshipful Master. He was also a member of The Rajah Shrine, Reading, Pa. where he volunteered his time as a hospital ambassador and was active with the Tin Lizzie’s (Shoo-Fly Pie Baker) and The Forks of The Delaware Shrine Club.  He enjoyed spending  time with his loving family, Photography, Painting, & Woodworking/Construction. Surviving is a daughter, Audrey L. Schell of Walnutport, a son, Leroy A. Kromis III & his wife Teresa, of Allentown, 3 sisters, Marian Hinkle of W. Hazleton, Florence Horsfield of Telford, Pa., Elizabeth of N. Carolina, a brother, George Kromis of Willingboro, NJ, 3 grandchildren, Heather Weist, Chip Schell, Caitlin Kromis, 2 great-grandchildren, 19 nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by a son George P. Kromis, & a brother, Marvin Kromis. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 18th at 11 a.m. at The Ovsak FH, 190 S. 4th St., Lehighton with SALM Emma Weaver officiating.
