Barbara A. (Snyder) Koons

Barbara A. Koons, 55, of Lehighton, Pa. passed away Monday, March 13th at her residence. She was the wife of John Koons of Albrightsville. Born in Coaldale, Pa. she was a daughter of the late Charles & Delores (Dotter) Snyder. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a waitress/bartender in the local area. Barbara was of the Lutheran Faith and volunteered at The Lehighton Food Pantry at Zion UCC. She was a member of Lehighton Orioles Nest #183, and formerly belonged to The Lehighton Fraternal Order of the Eagles. An avid animal lover, she enjoyed raising & spending time with her two Pit Bull dogs. Surviving is a son, Justin Gombert & his wife Megan of Lehighton, 2 sisters, Sandy, wife of Tom Giannini of Jim Thorpe, Deb Lauchnor of Lehighton, 2 brothers, David Sterling & his wife Chris of Shenandoah, Pa., William Sterling & his wife Darlene, of Jim Thorpe, numerous nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Paul Sterling. The funeral services & interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
